IBU Cup Biathlon Arber 2026

🎯❄️ IBU Cup Biathlon Arber 2026 ❄️🎯
📅 January 8–11, 2026
📍 Großer Arber, Germany
📌 just a few kilometres from Železná Ruda
The IBU Cup 2025/2026 season continues with its 4th stop at the well-established Großer Arber venue. The stadium has extensive experience hosting biathlon events, including German National Championships and European Championships.
👉 Although the Biathlon World Cup has never been held here, Großer Arber remains an important biathlon centre. In the past, races were occasionally affected by a lack of snow – this season, better conditions are expected.
🔜 Biathlon clearly has a future here: in addition to the IBU Cup, the venue will also host the Junior Biathlon World Championships.
🏔️ Planning to attend the races? Combine top-level sport with a relaxing stay in the Šumava region. The Pension Böhmerwald in Železná Ruda offers comfortable accommodation, an on-site restaurant and great facilities for a winter sports weekend – just a short drive from the venue.
📩 Early booking is recommended – January dates fill up quickly.

Cross-country skiing paradise in the Bavarian Forest - Bodenmais Activzentrum Bodenmais Bretterschachten

The Bodenmais Activity Center in Bretterschachten is one of Central Europe's best-known cross-country skiing areas in winter and is renowned for its excellent trail preparation. Bretterschachten is considered the safest area in Germany. Every day, cross-country skiers have access to 114 km of classic trails and 110 km of skating trails through the municipalities of Bodenmais and Arnbruck. However, the activity center is also increasingly being used by vacationers and locals as a starting point for various leisure activities during the snow-free months from May to November. Bodenmais, with its activity center at 1,120 m above sea level, therefore offers you many opportunities to combine exercise in nature with relaxation!
